La Bagatelle is a wonderfully spacious villa situated on a hillside overlooking the spectacular Piton mountains and the Caribbean Sea. Surrounded by palm trees, bamboo and a cascade of tropical flowers, every room enjoys superb views of the most beautiful part of St. Lucia.
This two-story villa is located off the Anse Chastanet road and faces southwest. The total habitable space is 5400 square feet. The living area is upstairs, and two large bedrooms are downstairs, each with en suite Italian tiled bathrooms. |

Breathtaking Views
From the high terrace of La Bagatelle, it would seem as though you could reach through the lush tropical foliage and touch the Gros Piton mountain. The island of St. Vincent is visible on clear days.
The coral reefs around the coast offer some of the best diving in the Caribbean. La Bagatelle is five minutes from Anse Chastanet Beach Resort, famous for its 5-star PADI dive center and superb diving facilites.

Relax by the Pool
La Bagatelle's pool is upstairs by the living area. It is 18 feet long and 10 feet wide. There is a clay tiled terrace at the side of the pool for the cushioned lounge chairs. It is always possible to sit in the shade if you prefer.
For your convenience, there is a bathroom by the pool.
The pool and garden are well cared for by our gardener.

An Open-Air Living Area
The upper story features one enormous 1700 square foot living and dining area. This room has high peaked West Indian ceilings and cool, smooth-polished greenheart wood floors. The walls and ceilings have been painted a blend of soft greys, off whites and whites.
The quality furnishings include antique St. Lucian tables, an antique armoir and two settees (sofas) with large soft cushions covered in Ian Mankin fabric. There are extra chairs and tables scattered around the outer terrace. |

Daydream Your Cares Away
The living area has a four poster day bed for reading, daydreaming, or napping in ultimate luxury.
The gardens around the house have been planted with bougainvillea which grows up the walls, poinsettias, pink and white vincas, passion fruit vines which hang along the railings, fragrant white ginger lilies and bamboo.

A Full Kitchen with Staff
La Bagatelle's completely equipped kitchen and pantry are upstairs at the back of the home.
The kitchen has a large refrigerator, a gas stove, toaster, ice cream machine, food processor, and china, glassware, and stemware for eight.
Our staff includes a housekeeper who prepares meals and cleans six days a week.

A Romantic Four Poster Bed
The spacious master bedroom is downstairs. It has a king size West Indian four poster bed (6 feet by 7 feet) with excellent quality Egyptian cotton sheets. There are two antique bedside tables, a cheval mirror, a red cedar armoir and a Chinese rug. The bedroom has a ceiling fan, and the windows and doors have moveable wooden louvers to let the Caribbean breeze circulate through the home. A custom-made mosquito net makes this bedroom especially romantic.

Additional Sleeping Quarters
The second bedroom features two beautifully restored antique four poster beds, a queen (5 feet, six inches wide) and a double (4 feet, 6 inches wide), both with excellent quality Egyptian cotton sheets. There is an old cane chaise lounge, English slipper chairs, a red cedar chest of drawers and a Chinese carpet on the hardwood floor. This bedroom also has a ceiling fan, moveable wooden louvers on the windows and doors, and custom-made mosquito nets.

Italian Tiled Bathrooms
Each bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with an Italian tiled shower. The master bathroom is especially large and spacious, with a walk-in closet area and large tiled countertops. The second bathroom has two sinks and a closet with a lock-up cupboard for storing valuables. Excellent quality towels are provided.
The staff has their own bathroom in the pantry area of the kitchen. There is a washing machine downstairs.

Tennis with a View
The owners of the villa live next door, and their tennis court below the house is available for your use. A wide range of other activities are a short drive away. Rental cars and taxis are available, and babysitting service can be arranged.
Enjoy a visit to the Diamond Mineral Baths, a nearby warm waterfall, the coral reefs, a walk in the rainforest, the botanical gardens... or just order a massage at La Bagatelle and spoil yourself in this peaceful house.
